Fashion Marketing Class Expectations

Welcome to the Fashion Marketing class! We will explore the nature of fashion, trace the history of fashion, and explore and identify trends in the fashion industry. Students will analyze fashion information media, as well as design and color fundamentals. Projects include fashion history, shoe box display, and a fashion magazine. Objectives will be highlighted with classroom activities and projects, fashion movies and the television show Project Runway.
Students are expected to act in a professional manner just as in the business world: arriving to class on time, being prepared, showing respect for others, and meeting deadlines. Students are required to have a fashion marketing notebook/folder and a writing utensil in class each day. Assignments and projects will be given and expected to be handed in completed and on time. If an assignment is late, it will be marked down a grade for each day late. If a student is absent, he/she is responsible for the assignments missed.
Students are expected to be respectful of others, and their property. Phones must be put away during class time, unless approved by instructor for a class activity. Consequences for inappropriate behavior or disregard for rules may result in teacher detention, phone calls to parents, extended detention, and/or further disciplinary action.
Students will be graded in the following four areas:
30%-Attendance/Participation/Preparation/Professionalism
30%-Classwork/Homework
25%-Projects
15%-Quizzes
Extra Help/Detention: Room 43 Mondays after school, or by appointment.
