The written is worth 70% of your grade for Term 2.  Marketing Education teachers will
use the rubric from your prospective DECA written guidelines.  You will each have a
copy so you know exactly how you will be graded and what the expectations are.
The remaining 30% will be derived from the shop rubric.

Individual/Team Tests
Students working on tests must show continuous improvement in their scores on a
weekly basis. Students must be prepared for role plays periodically until districts.
When not working on written projects, students should be taking tests, practicing
role plays, working on Virtual Business, and updating your portfolio, .

Shop
The shop elements of the Marketing Education program involve the same
daily routines and dynamic changes of the business world. It is therefore,
imperative that students come prepared to work every day, on time.
Just as in a job in the outside world, you cannot perform your duties if you
are not here. You receive no credit for missed days unless they are accompanied
by a note.  Responsibility and reliability are keys to your success. Respect is the
most important ingredient in the Marketing Education Department. Respect for
yourself allows you to perform work of which you can be proud. Respect for
your classmates fosters teamwork. Respect for teachers, administrators, and the
people with whom we work outside the school is the element which ties the
program together and which makes it successful.

Commitment To Excel

There is no place for mediocrity and half-hearted efforts in Marketing Education.
We accept responsibility, accountability and authority for overcoming obstacles
and reaching beyond the best. We choose to excel in every aspect.

Teamwork

A fundamental tenet of our philosophy is the belief that effective teams engage the
talents of individual members while encouraging team growth.

Trust and Respect For The Individual

We believe that demonstrating respect for the uniqueness of every individual builds
a team of confident, creative members possessing a high degree of initiative,
self-respect and self-discipline.

Continuous Improvement

We know that sustained success depends on our ability to continually improve.
We are providing opportunity for personal and professional growth that will
continue long after graduation.
